Harmonia 2026

Designing a poster & artist announcement system

Harmonia is an intimate, non-profit music and creativity festival held at Traditional Dream Factory (TDF), a pioneering eco-village in Portugal.

Capped at 100 people including artists and volunteers, it brings together a carefully curated lineup of live musicians, DJs, and workshop leaders from London, Lisbon, Berlin, and beyond for four days of music, movement, shared meals, and connection to the land.

Overview:

First Task

Lineup Poster

With the previous year’s poster being designed by Joe Joiner the core of this task was evolving the design.

Displaying growth, and a visual evolution for Harmonia, whilst keeping last years design firmly in mind.

The poster focuses on themes of warmth, humanity, and brining many different shapes and styles into one canvas.

The timeline for this task was tight, with turn around in 3 days from start to finish, producing an A2 print and a digital version for Instagram.

Second Task

Artist Announcements

There was no previous precedent for Artist announcement posts for Harmonia so the floor was open for me as a designer to direct the design language into a new space.

Visual variety is a given when working with images from a large group of artists, so nailing down brand elements/styles that create brand consistency. For me these were:

  1. Illustration elements pulled from the poster.

  2. Consistent type treatment

  3. Designing a system to make a uniform background style using the images themselves, thus retaining a strong individual style.

Thank you.

This project was turned around in 5 Days, with Harmonia 2026 fully selling out, and looking to operate their next edition in 2027.
